Roy William Harper Jr. is a prominent figure in The CW's DC television universe, known primarily as Arsenal. Initially a troubled youth from Starling City's Glades, Roy is saved by Oliver Queen and becomes fascinated by the Arrow's mission.

Oliver reluctantly takes Roy under his wing, providing training and mentoring, leading to Roy becoming a valuable asset to Team Arrow. Roy initially operates under the guise of "Arrow's Speedy," assisting Oliver in his vigilante activities. He later adopts the name "Arsenal" to forge his own identity.

Roy struggles with control after being injected with Mirakuru serum, forcing him to briefly leave the team. His journey is marked by personal growth, grappling with past mistakes, and fighting alongside Green Arrow, eventually faking his own death to protect Oliver's identity. He ultimately returns to assist the team in later crises.

Throughout his time on the team, he develops close relationships, most notably with Thea Queen, with whom he has a complicated, on-and-off romantic relationship. Arsenal’s skills in archery and combat, combined with his troubled past and journey towards redemption, make him a complex and engaging character within the Arrowverse.
